Markus Nöthiger
Managing Director
Markus is the Founder and Managing Director of Enemco. Markus brings decades of senior executive experience at the intersection of sustainability, corporate strategy, and operational performance — across industry, consulting, and financial services.
He is a former Partner of PricewaterhouseCoopers, Global Head of Sustainability for Xstrata plc. (now Glencore), Founder and Managing Partner of Ecofact AG, and Head of Environmental Risk for Swiss Bank Corporation (now UBS).
His sector experience spans mining and extractives, banking and project finance, manufacturing, retail, and transportation — across Europe, the Americas, Africa, Asia, and Australia.
Known for his keen political awareness and deep operational expertise, Markus understands how organisations work from the inside — and delivers advice that is both strategically sound and practically actionable.
Besides Enemco, Markus serves as:
– Strategic Sustainability advisor to Vision Blue Resources, a UK based investment fund for metal and mineral assets to enable the creation of secure, diverse and responsible supply chains
– Group Sustainability Head for Serra Verde Group, a provider of materials essential to the sustainable energy transition, operating a large-scale Rare-Earth project in Brazil
– A member of the Board of Directors for Earth Resource Investments AG, a Swiss based Asset Manager in the natural resources and energy sector
– A member of the Sounding Board for the Swiss Gold Refinery Argor Heraeus
– A member of the Business Advisory Board of swisspeace
Dana McNaughton
Senior Advisor
Dana McNaughton is an independent corporate and executive advisor based in Toronto, Canada, with more than 25 years of international experience across the mining, automotive, and manufacturing sectors.
His expertise spans strategy facilitation, policy framework design, planning, risk management, and occupational health and safety management — built through senior executive roles in some of the world's most complex operating environments.
Ben Ferris
Senior Advisor
Ben Ferris is a Senior Professional Engineer with 30 years of international experience in ESG, sustainability, permitting, and HSEC across heavy industry — combining deep technical expertise with practical, on-the-ground delivery.
His career spans multiple industries including mining, energy, paper, sugar, and consulting, and covers commodities ranging from copper, gold, and coal to LNG and oil shale — across Indonesia, Canada, Kyrgyzstan, Australia, Papua New Guinea, and the Solomon Islands.
Ben has held senior leadership roles including Vice President, ESG, Sustainability & Risk at PT Amman Mineral Nusa Tenggara (Indonesia's second-largest copper-gold operation), Environment Director at Centerra Gold (Kyrgyzstan and Canada), and Group Environment Manager at Harmony Gold (Australia and Papua New Guinea).
He holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Environmental), a Master of Business Administration, and is a full member of Engineers Australia.
Timo Schneider
Senior Consultant
Timo Schneider holds an MSc in Environmental Sciences from ETH Zürich, with a specialisation in sustainable supply chain management and the integration of sustainability factors into corporate and investment decision-making.
He joined Enemco in 2021 and has since worked closely with the firm’s founder and managing partner on a broad range of projects across various industries and geographies. At Enemco, he is also responsible for project and operations management.
In addition to his work at Enemco, Timo served as Team President of Circular Horizon, a non-profit association focused on the research of scalable carbon removal technologies. He led an international team of over 50 students and oversaw the successful development of a carbon removal prototype. As part of the association’s advisory activities, he supported corporate clients in navigating the complexities of climate and decarbonisation strategies.
Francesca Camilla Bruno
Senior Consultant
Francesca holds a Master of Engineering in Environmental and Land Planning from ETH Zurich and the Polytechnic University of Milan, and brings multi-sector experience across sustainable development, responsible investment, and corporate strategy.
She serves as Managing Director of the Zurich-based Commodity Club, and has built a strong track record across energy and commodities, environmental impact assessment, climate innovation, sustainable finance, agricultural investment, retail, and healthcare.
Francesca is known for her practical approach to complex sustainability and business challenges, helping clients build robust reporting systems and management frameworks, analyse data effectively, and align disclosures with relevant international frameworks and standards, while translating requirements into clear, actionable outcomes.
